Before I joined the CDI Widows Empowerment Scheme, life was very difficult. I lost my husband six years ago and was left alone to care for my three children. I had no stable income, and feeding my family was a daily struggle. Through this programme, I was trained in soap-making and CDI gave me start-up materials to begin my own small business. Today, I not only make and sell soaps, but I also supply them to shops in my area. I can now send my children to school and put food on the table without begging. CDI restored my hope and gave me the courage to believe in myself again. I will forever be grateful." — Mrs. Grace O., Beneficiary, 2024 Cohort
